Baumeisterhaus in Rothenburg

Unfortunately, I have to agree with the bad reviews. From the outside, the restaurant looks very nice. The charm is lost inside. The food is not convincing, tastes very ordinary and has a lot of ready-made products - price / performance ratio does not match. 2 stars are only given for the friendly staff.

In a nutshell: a tourist trap? The building is very nice. I would prefer not to measure the distance rules. The cake was dry. You can hardly go wrong with coffee. The staff was rude.

Clear tourist tasting business; All dishes from three different pots: sauce from Maggi, lentils from the can, spaetzle from the bag; Meat okay; Service funny but not very motivated. It's a shame!

Very personable and funny service! Great mains and the cheesecake was delicious too. The interior is also very exciting (in a positive way). Overall a nice restaurant.

Service was friendly and food quickly on the table and tasty. However, no contact information was recorded! We were also amazed that we were among the last at 7:00 p.m. and when we left we saw that the kitchen closed at 6:30 p.m. Unfortunately there was no question and the bill was put on the table when two beers were still almost full. These points tarnish the overall impression.

Nice old restaurant, but food and service not so good! Don't eat fresh or homemade, everything is ready-made! Cheese spaetzle were nicely advertised on the blackboard, but unfortunately they are only ready-made from the package, like the fried onions! Not necessarily to be recommended.

The food was delicious and luckily you didn't have to make a reservation. The service was fantastic. Very attentive, friendly and suggested a great wine and great dishes. The prices are great. And very child-friendly. The atmosphere invites you to relax and enjoy, calm piano music. Inside it is designed in a rustic hunter's style and the inner courtyard is also an eye-catcher, especially if you can't get anything outside or it's raining.

We were served very friendly, nice restaurant. Our son lost the AirPods in the restaurant, after a telephone request (we were already in a traffic jam on the highway) the AirPods were sent to Switzerland for free! Thank you very much for this nice gesture! Since we were only able to visit Rothenburg for a very limited time, we will stop by again. Where we will eat is already clear! :-)

The price-performance ratio is right here. In terms of taste and portion sizes, it's absolutely fine and tasty. A small mistake was immediately more than made up for and an apology and a small reparation came from the boss personally. Anytime again. We felt good.

The restaurant is decorated in a medieval style and has its own charm. The waiter was very friendly. There is a large selection of Bavarian specialties. The food was good.

Slight medieval flair ... food was delicious ... mild Sauerbraten with a slight acidity, tender butter and melted on the tongue ... The red cabbage also had the right taste, not too strong, but also nice and mild ... I got potato dumplings presented differently, but that's a matter of taste ... waiter is very nice

Recommended restaurant in Rothenburg. There is also a Japanese menu! The interior of the restaurant is decorated with Rothenburg and was a wonderful place! You can eat local Rothenburg dishes.

Magnificently located restaurant with a spectacular green stone facade, it is enriched with 14 caryatids. Getting noticed here in Rothemburg is not easy; all the houses are beautiful, but this one has its history (it has been a restaurant since 1596). The internal courtyard has been covered and therefore can be installed there. Goulash soup and pork shank, an excellent dark beer: what more do you want?

The inside of the store was also prepared in a classical manner, and a cheerful female waitress brought a Japanese menu. The amount is large and natural. I left it. However, I wanted to eat all the fried potatoes with German cutlets (pork) over time! The cake is sweet and delicious in German style! It is a nut tart.

It was our last night in Germany and we wanted to have a memorable meal. Unfortunately we were very disappointed. The meat was tough but worse of all there was sand in the lettuce. Add in the flies and sticky bathroom floors, the night was memorable for all the wrong reasons.

This restaurant was great. There weren’t many great options in Rothenburg so we stopped in and were impressed. The food was great and beers delicious!

A nice restaurant in the middle of Rothenburg suitable for the old town. Unfortunately the food was not that good. Everything a little finished products. Spätzle not homemade and the fried onions from the tin. Meat was not good quality and tough. Children's dishes were ok. The service was really good for that.

Service was wonderful and the fastest I have seen in Germany. Probably due to eating early as we arrived around 1800. Food was good quality and generous portions. 2 jaegerschnitzel, cheese spaetzel and one kids schnitzel was good for 2 adults and 3 kids. The server reduced our order saying we originally ordered to much and she was right. We will definitely return on the next trip to Rothenburg!

We came here as recommended from the tour guide. Probably the worst meal we had in Germany. I had sausages and lentils and my wife had a soup. The soup was miniscule for 5 euros and the waiter probably should have advised it was only really a tiny serving. The sausages looked like something you'd get out of a freezer but the lentils were ok. The coke my wife ordered was flat. Really wish we had of eaten somewhere else! Avoid!

The restaurant is located in the Town Hall Square and offers a multilingual menu that can only be paid in cash and cannot be swiped. The indoor environment is very classical. There is a small patio with a mural on the wall. You can chat with your feet and watch a lot of foreigners come here for a beer. There is no surprise in the taste of the food. Basically, it is fried. The Swabian dumplings are also fried and unhappy. The pork elbow meal is quite big, but the other 15th pork chops are dry and hard, chewing, difficult. eat! The salad is OK, the soup is normal, and the mother said that the soup tastes like canned food.

The restaurant with super medieval European flavors seems to enter the time tunnel and is elegantly decorated. It is right next to the town hall. The food is quite good. You can consider dining here when visiting Rothenburg.

Amazing food, implacable customer service and the carte(menu) is in a lot of different languages. We got it in Spanish... amazing. The lady that serve us was amazing and gave us a lot of tips about the area and the beers.. of course!! The food was delicious and the Apfelstrudel no words to describe how delicious was. Place is very bavarian style. Loved it!

Good Maultaschen with salad at a good price and a very charming waiter. Everything was just great. Even the covered inside garden was OK.

Requesting to have a look at the restaurant inside, the lady seating the guests were rude, telling me that I can’t go in unless I’m eating. Disappointing.

Where Schnitzel went to avoid the rain because he wanted to eat. You will be welcomed very kindly, your food will be covered in your mouth, and the amount will be high! The shop is also nice. Please come! I could not give a tip!

Delicious food, very nice, historic place. However, it can get super crowded and hence take ages to get good and pay. One last word: this place is cash only.

Amazing architecture inside restaurant. Felt like I was really in the medieval times. Food was decent typical Oberbayern produce. Staff were friendly and spoke English. Reasonable pricing.

Very nice architecture. Good place for a cup of coffee. Bad Food and Service is also not that good. Cake was still cold from the freezer. Salad out of the tin. Appears to be managed sloppy and greedy.
